Little Professor – Pepper Place
Reluctant to “Delete”, I kept the e-mail from Little Professor just in case. Getting more comfortable with the pace picking up, I wouldn’t necessarily go so far as to say “busy”, but “downtime” is shrinking considerably. What a relief! Seems inactivity was a tremendous hurdle and I never quite got the hang of it. So now, my calendar is filling with interesting events around the city and Little Professor hosts an entertaining variety of activities for all ages. Write Night is held monthly providing a little sustenance, popcorn, a little stimulation, coffee or decaf for me, and tonight a little inspiration, a beautiful rainbow.
The colors were vivid, not faint and muted like sometimes, and stretched across the ride home from ballet to the delight of one of my littles. Thinking after a full day of stop-ins, errands and calls, my work was done, I was looking forward to the nothingness of the night that just a few years ago made me anxious and a little fearful. And just a few back from that time that same nothingness was the reward from an exhausting day. Funny how things change, how experiences invert and morph. Today it’s neither suffering nor reward. It’s simply appreciated … completely and fully.
The decaf and popcorn were certainly satisfying, the atmosphere lovely and welcoming, but it was that rainbow, that stunning streak of color brushed across the sky that was the push to continue the day leading to a quick home pit stop, grabbing books and laptop, to head to Pepper Place for softly playing background music, a little writing and clearing out my Inbox 🙂
