The natural side of Jemison Trail is still open and today, after what ended up being way too long of a break, a reunion took place. That .8 stretch of trail has some crazy energy. It’s almost like a wormhole for me every time. Senses are heightened, thoughts are free-flowing at a rapid pace, look up, look down, beauty is everywhere. And seeing the blue sky through the green leaves flickering like sequins in the breeze, it came to me … What’s the difference in this same sky at a fantastic destination where you’re taking it all in, feeling fortunate, “blessed”, and every other ordinary day, like today? Nothing, not one thing, EXCEPT for your perception, your awareness, your openness to receive its beauty. Blessings exist outside of our preconceived parameters.
