Faith – Belief
Quite possibly the best song ever written … my favorite anyway. One hand in my pocket … Comfort Zone … Learned behavior, how I presently view the world, cope with experiences good and bad. From birth, we learn what we are taught … manners, discipline, sharing. The interpretation of these lessons, however, is individual. A different perspective can come from the exact same experience. Branching out and considering other ideas is a little exciting, a little scary and tremendously freeing. To come into your own way takes a leap of faith; you don’t know what you’re going to get until the step is taken. But then, finding that mistakes, missteps are all part of the equation is a pleasant revelation. They’re not the negative we’ve assumed. All experiences are full of learning. It makes life interesting and movement in any direction is productive. Trial and Error allows us to think through and make decisions instead of perpetually looking down at the outline or worse, handing someone else the keys in the name of safety. Feeling fortunate to give away our autonomy is quite the mind game.
Participate in your life. Choice is a Powerful Gift. Exercise it often 🙂
