“I can resist anything except temptation.” (Oscar Wilde)
Chocolate Cake
So … yeah … I ate chocolate cake for breakfast. After a brisk walk in the crisp, cool air this option extended the joy. “Sometimes what you want is just what you need.” (Soul Speak pg. 12) But this really wasn’t giving in to temptation. This was a premeditated choice … no guilt, no regret. Yet another practice of receiving the joy of living. A funny thing really is that once my tastebuds were satisfied and I was sufficiently full, there was no urge to continue, no need to pile it on anticipating a self-imposed famine to counter this reckless act.
Seems with Receiving you really do get to have your cake and eat it too. Who Knew?!
