” … on the shore … tells the next one there’ll be one more.”
I don’t pack clothes; I pack choices. That’s my clever response to the amount of luggage I take on trips. Being a huge fan of all the choices swirling around, washing over us day after day, minute by minute, there is a point where the lever is pulled. A moment in time to step into The Now. The strategy of trying to gauge the win or the loss will land you in a sea of distraction constantly looking over your shoulder at what is coming next. A practice of chasing the next big thing devalues what you have leaving you unsatisfied and unfulfilled.
“I thought I heard the captain’s voice, but it’s hard to listen while you preach.”
It actually can’t be done. Listening requires receiving not merely reciting. Wisdom is where discussion takes place. The back and forth, the tug and pull is revealing. Mistakenly incorporated as a safety mechanism, a closed mind is rationalized as a reasonable reaction to experiences that led to success or failure. New ideas are not a danger. They hold no power over the ability to consider. Decisions can only be made where there is choice.
“Like every broken wave on the shore … This is as far as I could reach.”
The Winner’s Podium is an acknowledgment. So is Last Place. Neither is an end point. Where you take that moment is up to you. Transformation comes as fast as that realization sets in.
“Are we ready to be swept off our feet, and stop chasing Every Breaking Wave.“
Acceptance is not the end of the story. It’s the beginning, the start of realizing limits and pushing past or working with them. It ends the fear of inadequacy by seeing The Now and understanding there’s always more to be written, not by your circumstances … by you.
Get ready to be swept away by standing in the blessing of your God-given Free Will.
